BoBunny Goodness!

I recently won a BoBunny prize for commenting on their blog.  It arrived last week and look what pretty goodness I received.

The collection is Sweet Tooth and it is my fav of their new releases. Talk about lucky! This is going to be fun to create with that is for certain!

Last week I had two other fun scrappy things happen.  Unfortunately I can't share them just yet.  Look for my exciting announcements later this month and at the beginning of November.:)

Watch out for Mama-razzi!

Today I am finally getting around to sharing my published layouts from October.   First up is a layout made with Bo Bunny's Mama-razzi collection.

Supplies: patterned paper, die cut, cardstock stickers and strips, chipboard stickers (BoBunny), pen (Staedtler), foam number (Dollarama), ink (StazOn)
It was the perfect paper and embellishments for this photo of my daughter.

Techniques: fussy cut subtitle comment from patterned paper, cut circle border strip in half to look like lace loops above scallop strip, layered chipboard elements

I had already pre-printed the photo in a 5x7 size and it was sitting in my "to-be scrapped" photo box.  The good thing I find about having pre-printed and sized photos already on hand is that when inspiration strikes, I am able to take advantage of it without delay.  This layout appeared in the October Scrap Street Magazine edition in an article entitled "Scrapping Big" about large photo use by Nicole Martel.

Next is an oldie but a goodie.  It is a layout that I originally made for Simple Scrapbook Magazine's "So You Think You Can Stamp?" Contest in 2008.

For a full tutorial on how to make this layout, including the cool transparency technique I came up with for the Spellbound title, check out my article in Scrapbooking.com Magazine.

So Excited!!!

Two of my layouts are published in Ezines this month!

The First up is the October issue of ScrapStreet Magazine.  Easy Street column writer, Nicole Martel, features layouts that use large photos as the feature point of a page.  You can view the article and scroll down a bit here to see my 2nd Generation layout made using BoBunny's Mamarazzi collection.  It is so fun to be with fellow online scrappy friends from My Scrapbook Nook on this page of the article!

The second one is a favourite Halloween one of mine published in the October issue of  Scrapbooking.com Magazine.  It is featured in the Departments of Scrapbooking Stamps section.  When editor, Jami Peterson, contacted me about this layout, I was so thrilled and flattered.  It was originally made for "So you think you can stamp?" Contest.  It features Making Memories Spellbound collection and stamping on transparencies as the Round 2 challenge.  You can view my "Spellbound Witch" layout, article and my how-to instructions here.   You can also either view the audio/video YouTube clip (click on arrow over side layout) or have the article read to you by clicking on the cool audio feature.

I am so happy and tickled pink to be able to share my art with such a diverse and wider audience.  I hope you enjoyed my layouts.

Nook U - Typography 201

Up next over at The Nook U is Becky's class on Typography.  I love fonts and the look of text design. I have tons of computer fonts and stamps not to mention my growing stash of sticker alphabets.  I am thrilled that Becky used my Oh Daddy, Daddy, Daddy layout as an example. Check out Becky's blog as besides being super sweet and the message board cheerleader, she is quite hot and on a roll right now having recently made the American Crafts, BoBunny, and Jillibean Soup DTs.

So here is my take on the assignment:

The full list of supplies can be found here.  The journalling reads: With the tween years comes such sassiness. You decided to give some 'tude. At least this time it was comical. July 2010
