A little Magenta Style

I had a chance to get to Barrie and my LSS Scraps of Joy before I travelled to southern Ontario.  I picked up a few Magenta products while I was there.  I like to support the brick and mortar stores as I want them to continue to exist because nothing beats being able to see products in person.  Which is why I support LSS stores when I can.  Needless to say, I also scrapbook store shopped during my vacation.  While I was away, I got to do a little scrapping and here is what I was inspired to create with the Magenta stuff and some photos of my daughter clowning around and making faces...

Supplies: patterned paper, fabric and cork (Magenta), chipboard letters (BasicGrey), fabric letters (American Crafts), stamps (CTMH & Clear Dollar Stamps), Tiim Holtz Distress Ink (Rangers), twine (Jillibean Soup), leaf pins (Maya Road), pen (Steadtler)

For this one, I used a fall themed patterned paper, fabric as a photo matte and I stamped and fussy cut acorns of various sizes, to highlight my nutty theme.

Supplies: patterned paper, chipboard and photo corner stickers (Magenta), blk cardstock (Bazzill), wht cardstock, blk ink & chalk (CTMH), org. ink & butterfly punch (Martha Stewart), glimmer mist (Tattered Angels), glitter (Doodlebug), chipboard letters (BasicGrey), foam glitter letters (American Crafts), border punch (EK Success), jewels and flower sequins (Dollarama), pen (Creative Memories)

This one was a lot of fun.  I sprayed, inked, glittered and chalked the chipboard flowers.  I used the Peel Off photo corner stickers to create the pink flower centres by connecting the four straight edges in the centres.  Some fussy cutting, use of punches and lots of black edging make this layout pop.

With these layouts, I finally scrapped some of my photo stash showing some of her silly side.  Love the fun results and more importantly, so does Alex!

LSS Card Challenge

Scraps of Joy, my closest LSS, had a Card Challenge Kit for January.  The cards are posted and voted upon in the store for February.  This is what I created from the kit supplies:

Card Challenge Kit included: 1 kraft cardstock sheet, 1 Fancy Pants valentine patterned paper, red twill ribbon, 2 heart chipboards, red rhinestones and Diamond Stickles.  I added: brown Bazzill cardstock, Maya Road pins, Making Memories tickets, red Glimmer Mist, thread, lace and Fiskars punch. TFL!

Scraps of Joy Challenge

It has been a bit, due to distance, but I got to my closest LSS, Scraps of Joy, a few weeks ago and they still had some Scrap's Challenge packs.  So I thought I would give it a go and I purchased the 2nd last one.  The pack is a small kit which you can create either a single or a double scrapbook page from it.  This time it contained 2 patterned papers from Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses collection, 1 sheet cardstock, a few BG epoxy stickers from the line, some jewels and a square piece of raw chipboard.  As long as you use the kit's content, from there you can add other stuff.  Here is what I came up with:

Supplies: patterned paper and epoxy stickers (BasicGrey), cardstock (ColorMates), jewels (?), chipboard square (Magenta),  black glitter letters and blue puffy letters (American Crafts), rub ons (Making Memories), "Boho frame" stamp (Inque Boutique), postage stamp (Melissa Frances), ink, chalk and liquid glass (CTMH), ink (Rangers), pen (Creative Memories), snowflakes (Dollarama)
Now if only I can get it to the store.  You win the challenge based on customer votes.   Last week I didn't have a vehicle and now that I do we have a major snow storm.  Eventually it will get there.  Hopefully before everybody votes! LOL!
